Understanding the
Background
Global Heart Hub are a global non-profit organisation established to provide a voice for those affected by cardiovascular disease. On 22nd and 23rd November, Global Heart Hub brought together the patient advocacy community from all over the world for its first annual Unite Summit.
The Summit was held online, streaming live to many different countries across the world. I was asked to create a video to open the Summit on both days.

My Role
Motion Graphics Design
Storyboarding & Conception
Editing
The brief was to create a short video that conveyed the concept of bringing people together virtually, but the style and storyboards were left to me to create. I worked on the video as the sole designer, creating all motion graphics and creating the final edit.
THE CONCEPT
The Visual Motion Design
The intro takes the Global Heart Hub branding, colours and identity and uses the circle logo of the Unite conference as a “beacon” or “radar”, signifying the coming together of attendees from across the globe. All graphics and transitions follow this concept, keeping with circles. As people from around the world settle down with their computers to log on to the Unite conference, the Unite beacon grows outward from their devices. Next we see a map of the world with the GHH affiliate countries listed and a beacon growing, uniting them all. We end with the CroĆ building, the home of GHH, the agenda for the day and a closing title with sponsors listed.
A second version of the video was created to be displayed with the agenda for day 2 substituted in at the end. There were also a few pre-recorded sessions that I created a shortened intro and outro for, based on the Summit opening video.
