In 2009, I travelled around the world with my girlfriend for a year. During that time we backpacked around Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

I used Premiere Pro to make a collage of some of the videos I took in Mexico. The idea is to make one big video collage of the whole trip, but for starters I’m making a seperate collage for each country. The footage I have is far from professional, but I’m cutting these together more for nostalgia than practice.
This montage has some great moments in it, but is more about the editing process. The challenge was to select appropriate clips that would go with the tempo of the music, trim them and time them to move along with the beat of Manu Chao.
